OctoMom – isn’t she a cutie!

This really was a happy little accident in the infamous words of a wonderful artist.

Over the last few months I practiced different polymer techniques and tried my hand at some various projects. It’s not an easy medium to work with. You have to condition the clay (much like real clay) knead work warm and slit it. I seemed to have found my groove with a few minor little pieces and love the outcome.

This is my first favorite. OctoMom. A shawl pin, that is really beautiful in person. I recently knitted a lime Citron caplet and took pictures with this pin in the piece. The results were very eye catching. They also  happen to be on the old computer and no longer available. DRATS! I am excited to have it up in my Etsy store.

Designed to really be for that light weight lace shawl, heavier fabrics just don’t suit the size well. Its only about 2×2 inches. Its durable but wont snag that alpaca!
